DEREK DIRNBERGER

Chief Hunter of The Break
Benton, MO

Derek grew up outside of Benton, MO, a small town in southeast Missouri. He's been an avid hunter since childhood after being introduced to quail hunting by his father in the early 1980's. As a boy, you could find Derek in the woods hunting squirrels with his .410 shotgun. In his teen years, well it was a little harder to find him as he could be hunting anything; dove, quail, ducks, geese, turkey, deer or coyote. If there was an open season, there was a good chance Derek was after that quarry. Today, Derek still loves all types of hunting, but his primary passion is bowhunting whitetails. It's a year round obsession that starts with shed hunting, planting food plots, running Browning Trail Cameras and ending, hopefully, with a tag on a mature buck. Derek is also pulled into the woods every spring to chase Missouri longbeards.  More than anything, Derek loves to spend time in the outdoors with his wife, Nicole and their three boys, Drew, Sam and Jack.
